TidelineJobs runs the website at tidelinejobs.com. We introduce people in Australia to home-based roles with outside employers. Our team works from Lakes Entrance, Victoria, and you can write to us at careers@tidelinejobs.com.
This policy sets out what personal information we handle, why we hold it, who sees it and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) in mind.
At the moment the site does not hold an application form of its own. Applicants reach us by WhatsApp or by email. When you contact us, the details we receive are the ones you choose to send, which are normally:
If we add a form to the site later, this page will be updated before the form goes live, and every field on it will be listed here.
Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical data when a page is requested. That includes your IP address, browser type, the page asked for and the time of the request. These records are used to keep the site running and to stop misuse. We do not use them to work out who you are.
We will not ask you for passwords, one-time codes, online banking logins or copies of identity documents through WhatsApp or email. If someone claiming to be TidelineJobs asks for any of these, please do not send them and let us know at careers@tidelinejobs.com.
We use your details to reply to you, to explain the roles and the training, to understand which kind of role suits you, and to introduce you to an employer when you ask us to. We also use them to keep a record of our conversation so we do not ask you the same questions twice.
We do not sell your details. We do not send you marketing for other products. We do not pass your information to a different employer from the one you agreed to be introduced to without asking you first.
Before we introduce you to an employer, we tell you who that employer is. Only then do we share the details the employer needs to consider you, such as your name and contact number. That employer handles your information under its own privacy obligations from that point.
A small number of companies help us run the site and talk to you:
We will update this list before we start using any new service that handles applicant information.
We may disclose information if an Australian law, a court order or a lawful request from a government agency requires it, or where it is needed to protect someone from serious harm.
When you choose to message HR on WhatsApp, you send that message yourself. Nothing is sent from your phone automatically. Once you press send, WhatsApp delivers the message and its content to us, together with your WhatsApp name and number.
The site does not set advertising cookies and does not run analytics scripts at present. Your browser may store small technical files needed for pages to load correctly. If we add measurement tools later, we will list them here first.
TidelineJobs may promote the site through online advertising. No advertising or conversion tracking code is installed on the site today. If that changes, we will name each code here, we will not place your name or phone number into tracking events, and we will not use enhanced conversions, Customer Match or remarketing lists built from applicant details.
Some of our providers, including Cloudflare, Google and WhatsApp, store or process data on servers outside Australia, for example in the United States or Europe. We choose providers that publish their own security and privacy commitments.
Conversation records are kept for up to 12 months after our last contact with you and are then deleted. Server logs are kept for no longer than 30 days. Backup copies can take up to a further 30 days to roll off.
Access to applicant messages is limited to the people who need it to help you. Accounts are protected with strong passwords and two-step sign-in where the provider offers it. No system is perfectly secure, so please avoid sending anything sensitive that we have not asked for.
Your own phone keeps a copy of the WhatsApp chat, and an employer you have been introduced to keeps its own records. Deleting information on our side does not remove those copies.
You may ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to careers@tidelinejobs.com and we will answer within 30 days. If you withdraw, we stop using your details, although we cannot recall information already given to an employer at your request.
Every application is read by a person. We do not use software to accept or reject applicants automatically.
The roles are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
If you are unhappy with how we handled your information, email careers@tidelinejobs.com and explain what happened. We will look into it and write back to you with what we found and what we will do about it.
Please only send us information about another person if they have agreed to it. If a friend or family member asks you to pass on their details, it is usually simpler for them to message HR directly so they can see this policy and choose what to share.
We will update this page whenever our practices change, and the date at the top will show the latest version.
